The Cat Way
"The cat way" is a deep down exploration of the relationship between cats and men. The film goes beyond the perpetual common wisdom that has it that “Men like cats because they are free.” This statement is valid nowadays; however, it is far from having natural and objective origins. Neither one’s frantic quest for a destiny of one’s own nor the tender respect one has for cats are timeless and immemorial true facts — it is quite the contrary.
A black kitten and an old gray tomcat, realized as animations, serve us as a guide. While leaving from living room with intellectuals of the end of the XIXème century, the film unrolls under the cat-like steps the evolution of the concept of individual freedom, seen through stories of cats to the four corners of the world.
